Note that all festival events are cash only and debit and credit cards are not accepted. Admission is just $5 at the gate, and parking is free. You can find directions and FAQs on the Great Galena Balloon Race’s website.
All money raised during the weekend benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and a camp for kids called Camp Hertko Hollow. Since 2002, the Great Galena Balloon Race has raised over $250,000 for children with diabetes!
