The Galena River Trail offers more than eight miles of intersecting trails that provide scenic views of the Galena River, Buehler Preserve, Recreation Park, and historic Main Street. Take a look at the trail map to plan your route or simply wander to see what spectacular scenery you can find!

A favorite among many visitors, the Galena Junction Trail winds over rolling hills toward the backwaters of the Mississippi River. This popular bike trail is a common spot to catch a close glimpse of a passing train at the Galena Junction! The trail made of finely crushed rocks is best suited for mountain bikes and hybrids, but road bikes are common as well. It’s also one of the most popular hiking and running trails at 3.4 miles in length. If you continue onto the Aiken Trail, you can run or hike for an additional 2.7 miles.

If you’re looking for a short and easy walk, the Downtown Trail is perfect for you. Enjoy scenic views of the Galena River and Main Street as you make your way to Meeker Street bridge on this half-mile trail.
