Everything We Wanted

“Wonderful experience! My husband and I stayed in the Julia suite for a weekend getaway. Farmers guest house offered every thing we wanted, including walking distance to downtown. We were able to book a couples massage that took place in their massage studio, right down the hall from our room. The stay included lots of nice touches/little extras that went a long way… freshly baked cookies delivered daily, wine and cheese/crackers provided every evening. The breakfast was superb – definitely above average!! The service was always friendly and efficient. They were easy to contact if needed, but they were so on top of it that we never needed anything!
They were accommodating from the moment we booked the room to the moment we checked out. I would definitely recommend this b&b to friends and family.
Edited to add: when we were on the trolley tour, the tour guide mentioned that this was his personal favorite b&b as we drove past!”

“😍 We just checked out this morning from our two night stay. We stayed in the Mary Room. Absolutely loved it! First timers for a Bed and Breakfast stay. The staff was amazing – genuinely sweet and caring people. The room was comfortable, decorated super cute, and quiet at night. If you are looking for a great place to stay that’s close to (walking distance) Main Street in Galena – 10/10! The breakfast in the morning was the cherry on top. ❤️ We hope to be back next year!”

“THE best B&B!! The hosts are very friendly and SO accommodating. They have thought of every detail to make for a wonderful stay. Beautiful home & gardens. And the breakfasts – OMG they certainly deserve the awards they’ve won for B&B best breakfasts! Fabulous food! This home is so warm and absolutely the most efficient, seamless operation I’ve ever experienced at a B&B. I can’t say enough about how wonderful everything was!”

A Warm & Welcome Stay

“The Farmers Guest House is an historic inn with all of the charm that you would expect. Proprietor Mark, his Son Luke and Elaine make you feel welcome and well taken care of. We had cheese, crackers and wine waiting for us in our room. Home make chocolate chip cookies too! The breakfast of a muffin, fruit, crust less quiche and a potato casserole was delicious and filling.
There is a nice comfortable sitting area where you can read, visit or play board games. The private garden out back is lovely too.
The inn is an easy walk to downtown. Galena is full of beautiful historic homes and we enjoyed learning the history of Galena and the area from Mark.
I highly recommend the Farmers Guest House when in Galena.”
