Illinois Bed and Breakfast, Farmer's Guest House: About the Inn

Kathie and Jess Farlow, owners/innkeepers, purchased the guest house in 2001 and did extensive remodeling and renovation work. We continue today paying attention to all the details so you may enjoy your stay and make our house your home.

Each morning be awakened by the aromas coming from the kitchen. A full breakfast is served each morning in our dining room. Savor such sumptuous entrees as Caramel French Toast, Baked Egg Delight, Swedish Baked Pancake, Orange Tarragon Croissant French Toast and Farmers' Guest House signature Hobo Hash, always accompanied with home made breads, fruit selections, cereals and juice.

Wine and cheese, as well as stories and conversation, are offered at "Wine Time" - 6:00 pm each evening.

Relax in the living room where there is an extensive DVD movie selection, or enjoy a music choice, be it jazz or classical, there is something for everyone in our collection. Lot's of jazz portraits and posters compliment family and friends photos. A baby grand piano is available if you might feel inclined to offer up a tune.

Hang out and read or play board games from the selection offered in Janet's Heritage Library, which is tastefully decorated in an Americana theme. Also stop by "The Littlest Gift Shop" located here at the inn offering round-the-clock shopping for unique gift items.

Whether winter or summer, soak in our outdoor hot tub and surround yourself with lovely flowers or, perhaps, delicate snowflakes. Or just sit and enjoy in one of our various patio areas.
