Summer Fun! -Quilt Getaway in Galena, IL

The retreat kicked off on Monday with a welcome of wine and cheese for all! This was a great chance for the quilters to get acquainted and share their stories. Tuesday began with Susan’s full house breakfast, including her banana bread, Susan’s Signature Egg Casserole and fun door prizes.  After breakfast, the quilters began sewing their project pieces into beautiful quilts.
Rosemary N. attended the quilting retreat and was very pleased with her stay. Rosemary said, “I’m overwhelmed with your generosity.  You all have gone above and beyond to help us with any little thing we may have needed. I [...]

Family Getaway in Galena

The Brockman sisters arrived in Galena to celebrate their family reunion with their mother, Lucille. They enjoyed the shopping in Galena, wine tasting & dining at several Galena restaurants. Not to mention playing Scrabble for three days and two nights while on their getaway to Farmers Guest House.  Sisters Sue, Patti, Jackie and Barb enjoyed catching up and relaxing together on our private patios surrounded by the beautiful flowers and gardens at our Inn.  Galena’s dark skies, without ambient light, makes it the perfect location for star-gazing without the annoying insects.  To celebrate their family reunion at Farmers Guest House, they purchased matching t-shirts. What a great way to remember their girlfriends getaway in Galena – with their Mom too! – [...]
